rat a tat tat

my friend michele's husband brad is one heck of a good drummer. several times i've had the pleasure of going downstairs in their home and playing on his drumset. of course, i'm terrible, have no sense of rhythm and can't keep one hand doing one thing while the other does something else. forget about adding a foot or two in there. brad helped me find a snare drum which is currently sitting in MY basement waiting for someone to play it. i've got one person lined up to give me lessons. in the meantime, i continue to search the net for drum lessons online and on dvd. i came across this guy's website and watched his drum solo. anyone who thinks drums are merely there to keep the beat while the "real" instuments make music clearly isn't educated on what a drum can do. watch this. if you don't hear music while this guy plays, there's something wrong with you.
