home sick ... again

last night i woke up at midnight because of some very seriously painful stomach cramps. i haven't been feeling all that great this week, although whatever it is i've got raging through my system isn't enough to make me lie in bed all day. it's like a wimpy stomach flu that's just irritating enough for me to complain about. but last night it wreaked havoc on me, first with the stomach cramps and trips to the bathroom. then around 2:00 another round of nausea and this time i barfed. i knew something was amiss last night after i ate a hot fudge sundae and didn't feel it digesting through the pipes. when you have a disease like me you become very conscious of your digestive tract. and last night i knew it just wasn't moving though in the proper manner. and thus, out it came.

so i'm home sick again today because a) i don't want to give this bug to my co-workers, but more importantly, b) i fear the possibility of barfing in public. i'm one of those lucky kids who never got sick in school. which reminds me of this very funny story...

and because i'm not sick enough to stay in bed all day i've already accomplished playing with barett, brought him in from outside after a barking jag and watched a really big ad on my computer. i suggest you watch it, too.
